No matter how big or small your project is, you’ll have many questions to ask and answer before the first nail is struck. And that’s exactly what the Island’s spring home shows were built for!
Kicking things off this year is the Victoria Home, Reno & Decor Show, at Pearkes Recreation Centre Feb. 23 to 25.
“If you’re in the planning stages, this is your opportunity to see the products and to ask questions of the experts,” explains producer Darcy Hope, from Evergreen Exhibitions. “You can see and feel the differences in tile, vinyl, laminate and hardwood, for example – qualities you can’t appreciate online. You get a lot more information and can make a more informed decision when you do it in person.”
If you’re ready to move on to the next phase of your project, you’ll find a wealth of resources, letting you get a feel for the companies and if they’d be a good fit for your project.
“It’s a nice, neutral, low-pressure environment to get to know companies before you commit, and you can do your comparison shopping within one space,” Hope notes.

If you can dream it, there’s likely someone at the spring home show to help make those dreams come true. Sectors represented include: kitchens & bathrooms; heating, cooling and electrical, including solar, car charging, energy savings, grants and rebates; builders and renovators; decorating supplies and services; patio covers, hot tubs, landscaping and yard maintenance; windows and doors; roofing and gutters and more.
