Saanich residents are encouraged to indulge in their sweet tooth at the 57th annual Saanich Strawberry Festival.
On Sunday, July 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the "festival of flavour" returns to Beaver Lake Park for a day of live music, kids activities and locally-grown foods.
"After more than half a century, the Strawberry Festival continues to be one of Saanich's most popular family events," said Saanich mayor Dean Murdock in a news release. "I encourage everyone to join us for the celebration and enjoy some local strawberries and ice cream with their loved ones."
The event will feature local musicians, bouncy castles, information booths, arts and crafts stations, a farmers' market selling fresh produce and berries, and locally-sourced Michell’s Farm strawberries and Island Farms ice cream for sale for $2.00 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
