Wine book in wine storea perfect pairingLiquor shops aren’t usually book launch venues.But this week Cascadia Liquor, 2631 Quadra St., will host the launch of Island Wineries of British Columbia, published by Victoria-based TouchWood Editions.Writers will be on hand and there will be wines to sample at the event, which runs 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday (March 5).Dinner and jazz at Glosees return of Wey Jazz pianist Ashley Wey headlines at Glo restaurant, 2940 Jutland Rd., Saturday evenings this month and next. No cover charge.New scholarship offeredby Dance VictoriaBefore she died in 2008 pediatrician Chrystal Kleiman asked Dance Victoria producer Stephen White to develop a unique dance scholarship with funds from her.The $11,500 scholarship is for emerging and established dancers and choreographers who would like to study outside of Canada.Interested applicants from Western Canada have until March 15 to apply.
