A massive new rental home building coming to Saanich broke ground on Tuesday, June 18.
One of the largest developments in Saanich, Odyssey will feature two six-storey buildings that will total 242 purpose-built rental homes as well as more than 14,000 square feet of commercial retail space.
Of the 242 homes, there are 50 studios, 84 one-bedroom, 92-two-bedroom/one bedroom plus den, four three-bedroom homes and 12 townhouses, which are designed as affordable units.
Additionally, the buildings are designed to be very environment-friendly, using 40 per cent less energy than the 2017 National Energy Code for Buildings, according to a press release.
The development is located at 3400 Tillicum Road and expected to be completed in early 2026.
